{"cve":"CVE-2024-31460","nvd":{"published":"2024-05-14T15:25:26.897","modified":"2026-06-17T07:28:28.107","status":"Modified","description":"Cacti provides an operational monitoring and fault management framework. Prior to version 1.2.27, some of the data stored in `automation_tree_rules.php` is not thoroughly checked and is used to concatenate the SQL statement in `create_all_header_nodes()` function from `lib/api_automation.php` , finally resulting in SQL injection. Using SQL based secondary injection technology, attackers can modify the contents of the Cacti database, and based on the modified content, it may be possible to achieve further impact, such as arbitrary file reading, and even remote code execution through arbitrary file writing. Version 1.2.27 contains a patch for the issue.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-89"],"references":["https://github.com/Cacti/cacti/security/advisories/GHSA-cx8g-hvq8-p2rv","https://github.com/Cacti/cacti/security/advisories/GHSA-gj3f-p326-gh8r","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce@lists.fedoraproject.org/message/RBEOAFKRARQHTDIYSL723XAFJ2Q6624X/","https://github.com/Cacti/cacti/security/advisories/GHSA-cx8g-hvq8-p2rv","https://github.com/Cacti/cacti/security/advisories/GHSA-gj3f-p326-gh8r"],"products":["cacti:cacti","fedoraproject:fedora"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:49:23.840078609+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-31460","score":0.01791,"percentile":0.78383,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
