Insufficient validation of parameters in `Deno.makeTemp*` APIs would allow for creation of files outside of the allowed directories. This may allow the user to overwrite important files on the system that may affect other systems. A user may provide a prefix or suffix to a `Deno.makeTemp*` API containing path traversal characters. This is fixed in Deno 1.41.1.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-20"],"references":["https://github.com/denoland/deno/security/advisories/GHSA-hrqr-jv8w-v9jh","https://github.com/denoland/deno/security/advisories/GHSA-hrqr-jv8w-v9jh"],"products":["deno:deno"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:46:54.846886191+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-27931","score":0.00491,"percentile":0.42254,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hrqr-jv8w-v9jh","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hrqr-jv8w-v9jh","summary":"Insufficient permission checking in `Deno.makeTemp*` APIs","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:10.625345143Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"crates.io","name":"deno","purl":"pkg:cargo/deno","ranges":["<1.41.1"],"fixed":["1.41.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
