MSAL.NET applications targeting Xamarin Android and .NET Android (e.g., MAUI) using the library from versions 4.48.0 to 4.60.0 are impacted by a low severity vulnerability. \nA malicious application running on a customer Android device can cause local denial of service against applications that were built using MSAL.NET for authentication on the same device (i.e., prevent the user of the legitimate application from logging in) due to incorrect activity export configuration. MSAL.NET version 4.60.1 includes the fix. As a workaround, a developer may explicitly mark the MSAL.NET activity non-exported.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L","score":3.9},"cwes":["CWE-863","CWE-926"],"references":["https://github.com/AzureAD/microsoft-authentication-library-for-dotnet/commit/413e319472ccf48c86647f19fa2aa49ff6038488","https://github.com/AzureAD/microsoft-authentication-library-for-dotnet/security/advisories/GHSA-x674-v45j-fwxw","https://github.com/AzureAD/microsoft-authentication-library-for-dotnet/commit/413e319472ccf48c86647f19fa2aa49ff6038488","https://github.com/AzureAD/microsoft-authentication-library-for-dotnet/security/advisories/GHSA-x674-v45j-fwxw"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:48:32.179249784+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-27086","score":0.00189,"percentile":0.08586,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
