This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor access and above, to inject a PHP Object. No POP chain is present in the vulnerable plugin. If a POP chain is present via an additional plugin or theme installed on the target system, it could allow the attacker to delete arbitrary files, retrieve sensitive data, or execute code.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-502"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/social-pug/trunk/inc/functions-post.php#L194","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/social-pug/trunk/inc/functions.php#L556","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?old_path=/social-pug/tags/1.33.1&old=3060042&new_path=/social-pug/tags/1.33.2&new=3060042&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/d3999c59-57a9-410c-a550-7d198bdb25ea?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/social-pug/trunk/inc/functions-post.php#L194"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:48:32.179249784+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-2501","score":0.00921,"percentile":0.60305,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
