{"cve":"CVE-2024-2398","nvd":{"published":"2024-03-27T08:15:41.283","modified":"2026-10-15T01:17:43.520","status":"Modified","description":"When an application tells libcurl it wants to allow HTTP/2 server push, and the amount of received headers for the push surpasses the maximum allowed limit (1000), libcurl aborts the server push. When aborting, libcurl inadvertently does not free all the previously allocated headers and instead leaks the memory. Further, this error condition fails silently and is therefore not easily detected by an application.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:L","score":8.6},"cwes":["CWE-772"],"references":["http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2024/Jul/18","http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2024/Jul/19","http://seclists.org/fulldisclosure/2024/Jul/20","http://www.openwall.com/lists/oss-security/2024/03/27/3","https://curl.se/docs/CVE-2024-2398.html"],"products":["apple:macos","fedoraproject:fedora","haxx:curl","netapp:active_iq_unified_manager","netapp:bootstrap_os","netapp:brocade_fabric_operating_system","netapp:h300s_firmware","netapp:h410s_firmware","netapp:h500s_firmware","netapp:h610c_firmware","netapp:h610s_firmware","netapp:h615c_firmware","netapp:h700s_firmware","netapp:ontap_select_deploy_administration_utility"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:47:51.568503435+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-2398","score":0.36081,"percentile":0.98464,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
