The `pyload` API allows any API call to be made using GET requests. Since the session cookie is not set to `SameSite: strict`, this opens the library up to severe attack possibilities via a Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attack. As a result any API call can be made via a CSRF attack by an unauthenticated user. This issue has been addressed in release `0.5.0b3.dev78`. All users are advised to upgrade.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://github.com/pyload/pyload/commit/1374c824271cb7e927740664d06d2e577624ca3e","https://github.com/pyload/pyload/commit/c7cdc18ad9134a75222974b39e8b427c4af845fc","https://github.com/pyload/pyload/security/advisories/GHSA-pgpj-v85q-h5fm","https://github.com/pyload/pyload/commit/1374c824271cb7e927740664d06d2e577624ca3e","https://github.com/pyload/pyload/commit/c7cdc18ad9134a75222974b39e8b427c4af845fc"],"products":["pyload-ng_project:pyload-ng"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:44:57.175229480+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-22416","score":0.00948,"percentile":0.61192,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-pgpj-v85q-h5fm","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-pgpj-v85q-h5fm","summary":"Cross-Site Request Forgery on any API call in pyLoad may lead to admin privilege escalation","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:05.056650752Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pyload-ng","purl":"pkg:pypi/pyload-ng","ranges":["<0.5.0b3.dev78"],"fixed":["0.5.0b3.dev78"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2024-17","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2024-17","summary":"","modified":"2024-01-29T20:41:29.426372Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"pyload-ng","purl":"pkg:pypi/pyload-ng","ranges":["<0.5.0b3.dev78"],"fixed":["0.5.0b3.dev78"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
