{"cve":"CVE-2024-2206","nvd":{"published":"2024-03-27T01:15:46.613","modified":"2026-06-17T07:23:55.897","status":"Analyzed","description":"An SSRF vulnerability exists in the gradio-app/gradio due to insufficient validation of user-supplied URLs in the `/proxy` route. Attackers can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the `self.replica_urls` set through the `X-Direct-Url` header in requests to the `/` and `/config` routes, allowing the addition of arbitrary URLs for proxying. This flaw enables unauthorized proxying of requests and potential access to internal endpoints within the Hugging Face space. The issue arises from the application's inadequate checking of safe URLs in the `build_proxy_request` function.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-918"],"references":["https://github.com/gradio-app/gradio/commit/49d9c48537aa706bf72628e3640389470138bdc6","https://huntr.com/bounties/2286c1ed-b889-45d6-adda-7014ea06d98e","https://github.com/gradio-app/gradio/commit/49d9c48537aa706bf72628e3640389470138bdc6","https://huntr.com/bounties/2286c1ed-b889-45d6-adda-7014ea06d98e"],"products":["gradio_project:gradio"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:47:51.568503435+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-2206","score":0.00421,"percentile":0.36449,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-r364-m2j9-mf4h","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-r364-m2j9-mf4h","summary":"gradio Server-Side Request Forgery vulnerability","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:10.756400591Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"gradio","purl":"pkg:pypi/gradio","ranges":["<4.18.0"],"fixed":["4.18.0"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-1420","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-1420","summary":"gradio Server-Side Request Forgery vulnerability","modified":"2026-07-07T17:47:41.233536073Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"gradio","purl":"pkg:pypi/gradio","ranges":["<4.18.0"],"fixed":["4.18.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
