{"cve":"CVE-2024-1483","nvd":{"published":"2024-04-16T00:15:08.353","modified":"2026-06-17T07:04:20.460","status":"Analyzed","description":"A path traversal vulnerability exists in mlflow/mlflow version 2.9.2, allowing attackers to access arbitrary files on the server. By crafting a series of HTTP POST requests with specially crafted 'artifact_location' and 'source' parameters, using a local URI with '#' instead of '?', an attacker can traverse the server's directory structure. The issue occurs due to insufficient validation of user-supplied input in the server's handlers.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-22"],"references":["https://huntr.com/bounties/52a3855d-93ff-4460-ac24-9c7e4334198d","https://huntr.com/bounties/52a3855d-93ff-4460-ac24-9c7e4334198d"],"products":["lfprojects:mlflow"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:48:32.179249784+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-1483","score":0.02718,"percentile":0.86029,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-f82r-jj5r-6g97","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-f82r-jj5r-6g97","summary":"mlflow Path Traversal vulnerability","modified":"2026-07-07T17:56:48.084074083Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"mlflow","purl":"pkg:pypi/mlflow","ranges":["<2.12.1"],"fixed":["2.12.1"]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-1650","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-1650","summary":"mlflow Path Traversal vulnerability","modified":"2026-07-07T17:56:48.084074083Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"mlflow","purl":"pkg:pypi/mlflow","ranges":["<2.12.1"],"fixed":["2.12.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
