An attacker must have physical access to the computer system and requires a crafted USB device or smart card to present the system with specially crafted responses to the APDUs, which are considered high complexity and low severity. This manipulation can allow for compromised card management operations during enrolment.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:P/AC:H/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":3.4},"cwes":["CWE-416"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2024-1454","https://bugs.chromium.org/p/oss-fuzz/issues/detail?id=64898","https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2263929","https://github.com/OpenSC/OpenSC/commit/5835f0d4f6c033bd58806d33fa546908d39825c9","https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2024-1454"],"products":["fedoraproject:fedora","opensc_project:opensc","redhat:enterprise_linux"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:45:59.823092188+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-1454","score":0.00422,"percentile":0.36542,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
