This is due to the plugin not properly validating a user's identity prior to updating their email through the wc_update_user_data AJAX action. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to change arbitrary user's email addresses, including administrators, and leverage that to reset the user's password and gain access to their account.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3204501%40computer-repair-shop&new=3204501%40computer-repair-shop&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3206568%40computer-repair-shop&new=3206568%40computer-repair-shop&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=#file548","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3208270%40computer-repair-shop&new=3208270%40computer-repair-shop&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/80997d2f-3e16-48f6-969b-58844cb83d53?source=cve"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:57:56.913276502+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-12259","score":0.00525,"percentile":0.44505,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
