The function uses pickle.loads to parse received sockets directly, leading to a remote code execution vulnerability. An attacker can exploit this by sending a malicious payload to the MessageQueue, causing the victim's machine to execute arbitrary code.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-502"],"references":["https://huntr.com/bounties/00136195-11e0-4ad0-98d5-72db066e867f"],"products":["vllm:vllm"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:00:17.429720821+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-11041","score":0.01719,"percentile":0.77455,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-5vqr-wprc-cpp7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-5vqr-wprc-cpp7","summary":"vLLM Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability","modified":"2026-08-07T08:12:33.359512146Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"vllm","purl":"pkg:pypi/vllm","ranges":["<=0.6.2"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-566","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-566","summary":"vLLM Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability","modified":"2026-07-01T20:23:11.291562Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"vllm","purl":"pkg:pypi/vllm","ranges":["<=0.6.2"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
