{"cve":"CVE-2024-10831","nvd":{"published":"2025-03-20T10:15:20.500","modified":"2026-06-17T06:56:31.560","status":"Analyzed","description":"In eosphoros-ai/db-gpt version 0.6.0, the endpoint for uploading files is vulnerable to absolute path traversal. This vulnerability allows an attacker to upload arbitrary files to arbitrary locations on the target server. The issue arises because the `file_key` and `doc_file.filename` parameters are user-controllable, enabling the construction of paths outside the intended directory. This can lead to overwriting essential system files, such as SSH keys, for further exploitation.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.0","vector":"CVSS:3.0/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:H","score":9.1},"cwes":["CWE-36"],"references":["https://huntr.com/bounties/5c34c39f-66d4-414c-ab6a-f7888a5d882a"],"products":["dbgpt:db-gpt"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:00:17.429720821+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-10831","score":0.00839,"percentile":0.57835,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hhw5-29f6-hf4x","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hhw5-29f6-hf4x","summary":"DB-GPT Absolute Path Traversal vulnerability","modified":"2026-10-27T16:30:07.119360698Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"dbgpt","purl":"pkg:pypi/dbgpt","ranges":["<=0.6.0"],"fixed":[]}]},{"id":"PYSEC-2026-323","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/PYSEC-2026-323","summary":"DB-GPT Absolute Path Traversal vulnerability","modified":"2026-07-01T20:22:50.974905Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"PyPI","name":"dbgpt","purl":"pkg:pypi/dbgpt","ranges":["<=0.6.0"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
