This is due to insufficient validation and capability check on the 'rover_idx_refresh_social_callback' function. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level permissions and above, to log in to administrator. The vulnerability is partially patched in version 3.0.0.2905 and fully patched in version 3.0.0.2906.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-306","CWE-288"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/rover-idx/tags/3.0.0.2903/admin/rover-panel-social.php#L153","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/rover-idx/tags/3.0.0.2903/rover-social-common.php#L148","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3173032/rover-idx/trunk/rover-social-common.php","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/5cf6a9fb-3c3b-48ad-a39b-77a529b89901?source=cve"],"products":["roveridx:rover_idx"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:56:33.105311382+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-10002","score":0.00555,"percentile":0.4633,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
