{"cve":"CVE-2024-0658","nvd":{"published":"2024-02-29T01:43:24.793","modified":"2026-06-17T06:53:59.180","status":"Modified","description":"The Insert PHP Code Snippet plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the user's name when accessing the insert-php-code-snippet-manage page in all versions up to, and including, 1.3.4 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with administrator-level access, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This only affects multi-site installations and installations where unfiltered_html has been disabled.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:H/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":4.8},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3033503%40insert-php-code-snippet&new=3033503%40insert-php-code-snippet&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/c4a6b786-d0ef-41f6-b2bf-83307ec02b91?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=3033503%40insert-php-code-snippet&new=3033503%40insert-php-code-snippet&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/c4a6b786-d0ef-41f6-b2bf-83307ec02b91?source=cve"],"products":["f1logic:insert_php_code_snippet"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:45:59.823092188+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-0658","score":0.00337,"percentile":0.27098,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
