This is due to missing or incorrect nonce validation on the handle_create_link() function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to add related posts to other posts via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. This ultimately makes it possible for attackers to view draft and password protected posts.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/related-posts-for-wp/trunk/classes/hooks/class-hook-link-related-screen.php#L70","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3049719/related-posts-for-wp/tags/2.2.2/classes/hooks/class-hook-link-related-screen.php","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/5d21aad7-dbee-4204-afbd-0a5fdeaca50e?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/related-posts-for-wp/trunk/classes/hooks/class-hook-link-related-screen.php#L70","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3049719/related-posts-for-wp/tags/2.2.2/classes/hooks/class-hook-link-related-screen.php"],"products":["never5:related_posts"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:46:54.846886191+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-0592","score":0.00283,"percentile":0.20846,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
