The GLX PBuffer code does not call the XACE hook when creating the buffer, leaving it unlabeled. When the client issues another request to access that resource (as with a GetGeometry) or when it creates another resource that needs to access that buffer, such as a GC, the XSELINUX code will try to use an object that was never labeled and crash because the SID is NULL.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-158"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2024:0320","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2024:2169","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2024:2170","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2024:2995","https://access.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2024:2996"],"products":["fedoraproject:fedora","redhat:enterprise_linux","redhat:enterprise_linux_desktop","redhat:enterprise_linux_for_ibm_z_systems","redhat:enterprise_linux_for_power_big_endian","redhat:enterprise_linux_for_power_little_endian","redhat:enterprise_linux_for_scientific_computing","redhat:enterprise_linux_server","redhat:enterprise_linux_workstation","tigervnc:tigervnc","x.org:x_server","x.org:xwayland"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:44:57.175229480+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2024-0408","score":0.00321,"percentile":0.25191,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
