This is due to the fact that the plugin allows the use of a file inclusion feature via shortcode. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor access or higher, to create pods and users (with default role).","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","score":4.3},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/pods/trunk/classes/PodsView.php#L750","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&new=3039486%40pods%2Ftrunk&old=3039467%40pods%2Ftrunk&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/c5d330cd-ad1f-451e-bf41-39cfeb296cf0?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/pods/trunk/classes/PodsView.php#L750","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&new=3039486%40pods%2Ftrunk&old=3039467%40pods%2Ftrunk&sfp_email=&sfph_mail="],"products":["podsfoundation:pods"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:48:32.179249784+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-6965","score":0.00554,"percentile":0.4628,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
