Within the listener is code that requests a URL derived from the received message via fetch(). The URL is not validated or sanitised before it is fetched, thus allowing a malicious web page to arbitrarily fetch URL’s via the victim's browser.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:L","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-285","CWE-116"],"references":["https://gist.github.com/CalumHutton/1fb89b64409570a43f89d1fd3274b231","https://gist.github.com/CalumHutton/1fb89b64409570a43f89d1fd3274b231"],"products":["facebook:react-devtools"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:40:11.519948003+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-5654","score":0.00558,"percentile":0.46498,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-rxrc-rgv4-jpvx","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-rxrc-rgv4-jpvx","summary":"React Developer Tools extension Improper Authorization vulnerability","modified":"2024-09-12T18:41:02Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"react-devtools-core","purl":"pkg:npm/react-devtools-core","ranges":["<4.28.4"],"fixed":["4.28.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
