These 64-bit block ciphers are vulnerable to the Sweet32 attack (CVE-2016-2183), which, over very long-lived TLS connections carrying large volumes of traffic, could allow an attacker to recover small amounts of plaintext. The issue is fixed in Kyverno 1.9.5 and 1.10.0.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:H/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":9.3},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N","score":3.7},"cwes":["CWE-326"],"references":["https://github.com/kyverno/kyverno/security/advisories/GHSA-hgv6-w7r3-w4qw","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/kyverno-before-1.9.5-sweet32-medium-strength-cipher-suites"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:50:50.842544443+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-54356","score":0.002,"percentile":0.09675,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hgv6-w7r3-w4qw","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hgv6-w7r3-w4qw","summary":"Kyverno vulnerable due to usage of insecure cipher","modified":"2026-10-14T11:10:48.978536185Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/kyverno/kyverno","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/kyverno/kyverno","ranges":["<1.9.5"],"fixed":["1.9.5"]}]},{"id":"GO-2023-1804","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2023-1804","summary":"Kyverno vulnerable due to usage of insecure cipher in github.com/kyverno/kyverno","modified":"2026-10-14T11:10:48.978536185Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/kyverno/kyverno","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/kyverno/kyverno","ranges":["<1.9.5"],"fixed":["1.9.5"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
