The\nproblem is, this object is not stored as drvdata with the device; since the\nkfree function will accept a NULL pointer, the memory for the\nvfio_matrix_dev object is never freed.\n\nSince the device being released is contained within the vfio_matrix_dev\nobject, the container_of macro will be used to retrieve its pointer.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5195de1d5f66b276683240a896783f7f43c4f664","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6a40fda14b4be3e38f03cc42ffd4efbc64fb3e67","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7b6a02f5bf15931464c79dfd487c57f76aae3496","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8f8cf767589f2131ae5d40f3758429095c701c84","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/aa2bff25e9bb10c935c7ffe3d5f5975bdccb1749"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:16:40.427100871+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-53746","score":0.00191,"percentile":0.08802,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
