This\nhappens in the cxl_decoder_add() fail path. KASAN prints the following\nerror:\n\n BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in cxl_parse_cfmws (drivers/cxl/acpi.c:299)\n\nThis happens in cxl_parse_cfmws(), where put_device() is called,\nreleasing cxld, which is accessed later.\n\nUse the local variables in the dev_err() instead of pointing to the\nreleased memory. Since the dev_err() is printing a resource, change the open\ncoded print format to use the %pr format specifier.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-416"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/316db489647b8ddc381682597e89787eac61a278","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/4cf67d3cc9994a59cf77bb9c0ccf9007fe916afe","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/748fadc08bcbdaf573b34d9784bb3dbd87441dbf"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:11:26.888974865+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-53479","score":0.00161,"percentile":0.05282,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
