And if gserial_suspend gets called afterwards,\nit will lead to accessing of gser->ioport and thus causing\nnull pointer dereference.\n\nAvoid this by adding a null pointer check. Added a static\nspinlock to prevent gser->ioport from becoming null after\nthe newly added null pointer check.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2788a3553f7497075653210b42e2aeb6ba95e28e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2f6ecb89fe8feb2b60a53325b0eeb9866d88909a","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/374447e3367767156405bedd230c5d391f4b7962","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a8ea7ed644cbf6314b5b0136b5398754b549fb8f","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/e60a827ac074ce6bd58305fe5a86afab5fce6a04"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:10:08.713834912+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-53356","score":0.0019,"percentile":0.08657,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
