Because the producer index overflow\nsetting bit31 after a long time, FW goes to initialization sequence\nand this causes FW hang.\n\nFix is to wraparound the mbox producer index once it reaches u16 max.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0af91306e17ef3d18e5f100aa58aa787869118af","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/50d77c3739b2b15e9e1f1c9cbe50037d294800f8","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/79226176cdd1b65a1e6a90e0e1a2b490f0a9df33","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/7bfa0303fbc265c94cfbd17505c55b99848aa4e3","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9341501e2f7af29f5b5562c2840a7fde40eb7de4"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:08:41.295252406+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-53201","score":0.00167,"percentile":0.05925,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
