It\nis triggered because the variable \"currentexp\" cannot be left-shifted by\nmore than the number of bits in an integer. In order to avoid invalid\nrange during left-shift, the conditional expression is added.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":7.8},"cwes":["CWE-787"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/099be1822d1f095433f4b08af9cc9d6308ec1953","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/09cd8b561aa9796903710a1046957f2b112c8f26","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2eee8edfff90e22980a6b22079d238c3c9d323bb","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/69bba62600bd91d6b7c1e8ca181faf8ac64f7060","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/8f83c85ee88225319c52680792320c02158c2a9b"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:50:30.954589733+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-52764","score":0.00255,"percentile":0.17112,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
