However,\ngluebi_get_device() is not executed in advance in the\nftl_add_mtd() process, which leads to NULL pointer dereference.\n\nThe solution for the gluebi module is to run jffs2 on the UBI\nvolume without considering working with ftl or mtdblock [2].\nTherefore, this problem can be avoided by preventing gluebi from\ncreating the mtdblock device after creating mtd partition of the\ntype MTD_UBIVOLUME.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-476"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/001a3f59d8c914ef8273461d4bf495df384cc5f8","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/1bf4fe14e97cda621522eb2f28b0a4e87c5b0745","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5389407bba1eab1266c6d83e226fb0840cb98dd5","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a43bdc376deab5fff1ceb93dca55bcab8dbdc1d6","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/aeba358bcc8ffddf9b4a9bd0e5ec9eb338d46022"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:45:59.823092188+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-52449","score":0.00242,"percentile":0.15432,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
