This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with contributor-level and above permissions to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page. This was partially patched in version 3.1.3 and fully patched in version 3.1.4.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-mailto-links/tags/3.1.2/core/includes/classes/class-wp-mailto-links-validate.php#L582","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/ec882062-0059-47ca-a007-3347e7adb70b?source=cve","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-mailto-links/tags/3.1.2/core/includes/classes/class-wp-mailto-links-validate.php#L582","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/ec882062-0059-47ca-a007-3347e7adb70b?source=cve"],"products":["ironikus:wp_mailto_links"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:40:11.519948003+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-5109","score":0.00485,"percentile":0.41792,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
