Prior to 0.202.9, a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability exists within the Formula virtual cell comments functionality. The nc-gui/components/virtual-cell/Formula.vue displays a v-html tag with the value of \"urls\" whose contents are processed by the function replaceUrlsWithLink(). This function recognizes the pattern URI::(XXX) and creates a hyperlink tag <a> with href=XXX. However, it leaves all the other contents outside of the pattern URI::(XXX) unchanged. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.202.9.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":7.6},"cwes":["CWE-79"],"references":["https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb/commit/7f58ce3726dfec71537d8b80474a0f95a48a1574","https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb/security/advisories/GHSA-h6r4-xvw6-jc5h","https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb/commit/7f58ce3726dfec71537d8b80474a0f95a48a1574","https://github.com/nocodb/nocodb/security/advisories/GHSA-h6r4-xvw6-jc5h"],"products":["nocodb:nocodb"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:49:23.840078609+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-49781","score":0.00606,"percentile":0.4899,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-h6r4-xvw6-jc5h","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-h6r4-xvw6-jc5h","summary":"NocoDB Vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting in Formula.vue","modified":"2025-08-21T19:15:36Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"nocodb","purl":"pkg:npm/nocodb","ranges":["<0.202.9"],"fixed":["0.202.9"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
