In affected versions access to two URLs used in both Rundeck Open Source and Process Automation products could allow authenticated users to access the URL path, which would allow access to view or delete jobs, without the necessary authorization checks. This issue has been addressed in version 4.17.3. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":5.4},"cwes":["CWE-862"],"references":["https://github.com/rundeck/rundeck/security/advisories/GHSA-phmw-jx86-x666","https://github.com/rundeck/rundeck/security/advisories/GHSA-phmw-jx86-x666"],"products":["pagerduty:rundeck"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:42:07.670898610+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-48222","score":0.00449,"percentile":0.39043,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-phmw-jx86-x666","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-phmw-jx86-x666","summary":"Authenticated Rundeck users can view or delete jobs they do not have authorization for.","modified":"2026-09-10T03:49:47.712439653Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"org.rundeck:rundeck","purl":"pkg:maven/org.rundeck/rundeck","ranges":[">=4.12.0 <4.17.3"],"fixed":["4.17.3"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
