This is due to insufficient controls on file paths being supplied to the 'mla_stream_file' parameter from the ~/includes/mla-stream-image.php file, where images are processed via Imagick(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to supply files via FTP that will make directory lists, local file inclusion, and remote code execution possible.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-73"],"references":["https://github.com/Patrowl/CVE-2023-4634/","https://packetstormsecurity.com/files/174508/wpmla309-lfiexec.tgz","https://patrowl.io/blog-wordpress-media-library-rce-cve-2023-4634/","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset?sfp_email=&sfph_mail=&reponame=&old=2955933%40media-library-assistant&new=2955933%40media-library-assistant&sfp_email=&sfph_mail=#file4","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/05c68377-feb6-442d-a3a0-1fbc246c7cbf?source=cve"],"products":["davidlingren:media_library_assistant"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:39:24.235896374+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-4634","score":0.85595,"percentile":0.99724,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
