{"cve":"CVE-2023-45810","nvd":{"published":"2023-10-17T23:15:12.403","modified":"2026-06-17T06:29:34.210","status":"Modified","description":"OpenFGA is a flexible authorization/permission engine built for developers and inspired by Google Zanzibar. Affected versions of OpenFGA are vulnerable to a denial of service attack. When a number of `ListObjects` calls are executed, in some scenarios, those calls are not releasing resources even after a response has been sent, and given a sufficient call volume the service as a whole becomes unresponsive. This issue has been addressed in version 1.3.4 and the upgrade is considered backwards compatible. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-400"],"references":["https://github.com/openfga/openfga/security/advisories/GHSA-hr4f-6jh8-f2vq","https://github.com/openfga/openfga/security/advisories/GHSA-hr4f-6jh8-f2vq"],"products":["openfga:openfga"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:40:11.519948003+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-45810","score":0.00608,"percentile":0.49122,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hr4f-6jh8-f2vq","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hr4f-6jh8-f2vq","summary":"OpenFGA DoS vulnerability","modified":"2024-08-21T14:56:46.079008Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/openfga/openfga","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/openfga/openfga","ranges":["<1.3.4"],"fixed":["1.3.4"]}]},{"id":"GO-2023-2121","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2023-2121","summary":"OpenFGA DoS vulnerability in github.com/openfga/openfga","modified":"2026-03-03T04:54:17.691399Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/openfga/openfga","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/openfga/openfga","ranges":["<1.3.4"],"fixed":["1.3.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
