In affected versions `app/routes/v3/admin.controller.ts` did not correctly verify whether the user was an administrator (High Level) or moderator (Low Level) causing the request to continue processing. The response would be a 403 with ADMIN_ONLY, however, next() would call leading to any updates/changes in the route to process. This issue has been addressed in version 3.2.49. Users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:H/A:H","score":8.3},"cwes":["CWE-287"],"references":["https://github.com/PrivateUploader/PrivateUploader/commit/869657d61e3c7a518177106fe63ea483082b0d3e","https://github.com/PrivateUploader/PrivateUploader/security/advisories/GHSA-vhrw-2472-rrjx","https://github.com/PrivateUploader/PrivateUploader/commit/869657d61e3c7a518177106fe63ea483082b0d3e","https://github.com/PrivateUploader/PrivateUploader/security/advisories/GHSA-vhrw-2472-rrjx"],"products":["troplo:privateuploader"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:39:14.809778102+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-40020","score":0.00486,"percentile":0.41873,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
