{"cve":"CVE-2023-34362","nvd":{"published":"2023-06-02T14:15:09.487","modified":"2026-06-17T06:03:28.760","status":"Analyzed","description":"In Progress MOVEit Transfer before 2021.0.6 (13.0.6), 2021.1.4 (13.1.4), 2022.0.4 (14.0.4), 2022.1.5 (14.1.5), and 2023.0.1 (15.0.1), a SQL injection vulnerability has been found in the MOVEit Transfer web application that could allow an unauthenticated attacker to gain access to MOVEit Transfer's database. Depending on the database engine being used (MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Azure SQL), an attacker may be able to infer information about the structure and contents of the database, and execute SQL statements that alter or delete database elements. NOTE: this is exploited in the wild in May and June 2023; exploitation of unpatched systems can occur via HTTP or HTTPS. All versions (e.g., 2020.0 and 2019x) before the five explicitly mentioned versions are affected, including older unsupported versions.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-89"],"references":["http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/172883/MOVEit-Transfer-SQL-Injection-Remote-Code-Execution.html","http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/173110/MOVEit-SQL-Injection.html","https://community.progress.com/s/article/MOVEit-Transfer-Critical-Vulnerability-31May2023","http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/172883/MOVEit-Transfer-SQL-Injection-Remote-Code-Execution.html","http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/173110/MOVEit-SQL-Injection.html"],"products":["progress:moveit_cloud","progress:moveit_transfer"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:38:24.161619714+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-34362","score":0.99934,"percentile":0.9997,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":{"cve":"CVE-2023-34362","date_added":"2023-06-02","due_date":"2023-06-23","vendor":"Progress","product":"MOVEit Transfer","known_ransomware":true},"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
