{"cve":"CVE-2023-3006","nvd":{"published":"2023-05-31T20:15:11.127","modified":"2026-06-17T06:13:09.387","status":"Modified","description":"A known cache speculation vulnerability, known as Branch History Injection (BHI) or Spectre-BHB, becomes actual again for the new hw AmpereOne. Spectre-BHB is similar to Spectre v2, except that malicious code uses the shared branch history (stored in the CPU Branch History Buffer, or BHB) to influence mispredicted branches within the victim's hardware context. Once that occurs, speculation caused by the mispredicted branches can cause cache allocation. This issue leads to obtaining information that should not be accessible.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-212","CWE-226"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm64/linux.git/commit/?id=0e5d5ae837c8","https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm64/linux.git/commit/?id=0e5d5ae837c8"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:38:24.161619714+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-3006","score":0.00264,"percentile":0.18358,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
