Versions 0.0.2 and prior are vulnerable to domain hijacking.\nBecause CORS configuration was not correct, an attacker could use `play-with-docker.com` as an example and set the origin header in an http request as `evil-play-with-docker.com`. The domain would echo in response header, which successfully bypassed the CORS policy and retrieved basic user information. This issue has been fixed in commit ed82247c9ab7990ad76ec2bf1498c2b2830b6f1a. There are no known workarounds.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":6.5},"cwes":["CWE-639"],"references":["https://github.com/play-with-docker/play-with-docker/commit/ed82247c9ab7990ad76ec2bf1498c2b2830b6f1a","https://github.com/play-with-docker/play-with-docker/security/advisories/GHSA-vq59-5x26-h639","https://github.com/play-with-docker/play-with-docker/commit/ed82247c9ab7990ad76ec2bf1498c2b2830b6f1a","https://github.com/play-with-docker/play-with-docker/security/advisories/GHSA-vq59-5x26-h639"],"products":["play-with-docker:play_with_docker"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:37:41.955480748+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-28109","score":0.00702,"percentile":0.53282,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-vq59-5x26-h639","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-vq59-5x26-h639","summary":"Authorization Bypass Through User-Controlled Key play-with-docker","modified":"2026-09-10T03:49:56.904682485Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"github.com/play-with-docker/play-with-docker","purl":"pkg:golang/github.com/play-with-docker/play-with-docker","ranges":["<=0.0.2"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
