Prior to version 2.0.43, an unauthenticated user can retrieve Prometheus metrics from a publicly reachable Miniflux instance where the `METRICS_COLLECTOR` configuration option is enabled and `METRICS_ALLOWED_NETWORKS` is set to `127.0.0.1/8` (the default). A patch is available in Miniflux 2.0.43. As a workaround, set `METRICS_COLLECTOR` to `false` (default) or run Miniflux behind a trusted reverse-proxy.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-200","CWE-1220"],"references":["https://github.com/miniflux/v2/pull/1745","https://github.com/miniflux/v2/releases/tag/2.0.43","https://github.com/miniflux/v2/security/advisories/GHSA-3qjf-qh38-x73v","https://miniflux.app/docs/configuration.html#metrics-collector","https://github.com/miniflux/v2/pull/1745"],"products":["miniflux_project:miniflux"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:37:48.383111019+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-27591","score":0.00755,"percentile":0.55155,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-3qjf-qh38-x73v","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-3qjf-qh38-x73v","summary":"Unauthenticated Miniflux user can bypass allowed networks check to obtain Prometheus metrics","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:57.049458040Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"miniflux.app/v2","purl":"pkg:golang/miniflux.app/v2","ranges":["<2.0.43"],"fixed":["2.0.43"]},{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"miniflux.app","purl":"pkg:golang/miniflux.app","ranges":["<=1.0.46"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
