It is hosted by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) as an Incubating Level Project. Dragonfly uses JWT to verify user. However, the secret key for JWT, \"Secret Key\", is hard coded, which leads to authentication bypass. An attacker can perform any action as a user with admin privileges. This issue has been addressed in release version 2.0.9. All users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-798","CWE-321"],"references":["https://github.com/dragonflyoss/Dragonfly2/releases/tag/v2.0.9","https://github.com/dragonflyoss/Dragonfly2/security/advisories/GHSA-hpc8-7wpm-889w"],"products":["linuxfoundation:dragonfly"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:54:38.012257375+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-27584","score":0.33874,"percentile":0.98391,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-hpc8-7wpm-889w","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-hpc8-7wpm-889w","summary":"Dragonfly2 has hard coded cyptographic key","modified":"2025-04-23T14:51:32Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","purl":"pkg:golang/d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","ranges":[">=2.1.0-alpha.0 <2.1.0-beta.1"],"fixed":["2.1.0-beta.1"]},{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","purl":"pkg:golang/d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","ranges":["<2.0.9-rc.2"],"fixed":["2.0.9-rc.2"]}]},{"id":"GO-2024-3136","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GO-2024-3136","summary":"Dragonfly2 has hard coded cyptographic key in d7y.io/dragonfly","modified":"2026-03-03T04:55:48.323543Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Go","name":"d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","purl":"pkg:golang/d7y.io/dragonfly/v2","ranges":["<2.1.0-beta.1"],"fixed":["2.1.0-beta.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
