This exploit exists due to an incomplete fix that was made when this vulnerability was previously disclosed as CVE-2020-35476. Regex validation that was implemented to restrict allowed input to the query API does not work as intended, allowing crafted commands to bypass validation.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":9.8},"cwes":["CWE-78"],"references":["http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/174570/OpenTSDB-2.4.1-Unauthenticated-Command-Injection.html","https://github.com/OpenTSDB/opentsdb/pull/2275","https://www.synopsys.com/blogs/software-security/opentsdb/","http://packetstormsecurity.com/files/174570/OpenTSDB-2.4.1-Unauthenticated-Command-Injection.html","https://github.com/OpenTSDB/opentsdb/pull/2275"],"products":["opentsdb:opentsdb"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:38:18.424950729+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-25826","score":0.43036,"percentile":0.98722,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-h475-7v3c-26q7","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-h475-7v3c-26q7","summary":"Command injection in OpenTSDB","modified":"2025-02-13T19:35:59.601266Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"Maven","name":"net.opentsdb:opentsdb","purl":"pkg:maven/net.opentsdb/opentsdb","ranges":["<=2.4.1"],"fixed":[]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
