This is due to incorrect authentication checking in the 'wpus_allow_user_to_admin_bar_menu' function with the 'wpus_who_switch' cookie value. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level permissions and above, to log in as any existing user on the site, such as an administrator, if they have access to the username.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-288"],"references":["https://lana.codes/lanavdb/0cfdc5fa-d219-46bb-b8cc-693ac28a9e92/","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/wp-user-switch/trunk/inc/functions.php?rev=2237142#L33","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/2921182/wp-user-switch/trunk/inc/functions.php","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/e89d912d-fa7a-4fb1-8872-95fa861c21ca?source=cve","https://lana.codes/lanavdb/0cfdc5fa-d219-46bb-b8cc-693ac28a9e92/"],"products":["wp_user_switch_project:wp_user_switch"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:38:24.161619714+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-2546","score":0.01357,"percentile":0.7167,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
