Prior to version 5.19.1, the `Headers.set()` and `Headers.append()` methods are vulnerable to Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) attacks when untrusted values are passed into the functions. This is due to the inefficient regular expression used to normalize the values in the `headerValueNormalize()` utility function. This vulnerability was patched in v5.19.1. No known workarounds are available.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":7.5},"cwes":["CWE-1333","CWE-20"],"references":["https://github.com/nodejs/undici/commit/f2324e549943f0b0937b09fb1c0c16cc7c93abdf","https://github.com/nodejs/undici/releases/tag/v5.19.1","https://github.com/nodejs/undici/security/advisories/GHSA-r6ch-mqf9-qc9w","https://hackerone.com/bugs?report_id=1784449","https://github.com/nodejs/undici/commit/f2324e549943f0b0937b09fb1c0c16cc7c93abdf"],"products":["nodejs:undici"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:37:38.595364862+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-24807","score":0.01315,"percentile":0.7075,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-r6ch-mqf9-qc9w","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-r6ch-mqf9-qc9w","summary":"Regular Expression Denial of Service in Headers","modified":"2026-09-10T03:50:07.876337712Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"undici","purl":"pkg:npm/undici","ranges":["<5.19.1"],"fixed":["5.19.1"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
