Versions prior to 1.0.0 are vulnerable to Code injection. This issue affects anyone who is using the default presets and/or does not handle the functionality themself. This issue has been partially mitigated in version 1.0.0, with the maintainer's GitHub Security Advisory (GHSA) noting \"It is impossible to fully guard against this, because users have access to the original raw information. However, as of version 1, if you only access the constrained models, you will not encounter this issue. Further similar situations are NOT seen as a security issue, but intended behavior.\" The suggested workaround from the maintainers is \"Fully custom presets that change the entire rendering process which can then escape the user input.\"","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.8},"cwes":["CWE-94"],"references":["https://github.com/asyncapi/modelina/security/advisories/GHSA-4jg2-84c2-pj95","https://github.com/asyncapi/modelina/security/advisories/GHSA-4jg2-84c2-pj95"],"products":["lfprojects:modelina"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:37:34.931465858+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-23619","score":0.01064,"percentile":0.64691,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-4jg2-84c2-pj95","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-4jg2-84c2-pj95","summary":"Improper Control of Generation of Code ('Code Injection') in @asyncapi/modelina","modified":"2026-09-10T03:49:27.247012150Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"@asyncapi/modelina","purl":"pkg:npm/%40asyncapi/modelina","ranges":["<1.0.0"],"fixed":["1.0.0"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
