This is due to missing nonce validation on the ls_parse_vcita_callback function. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to modify the plugin's settings and inject malicious JavaScript via a forged request granted they can trick a site administrator into performing an action such as clicking on a link. While the Cross-Site Scripting issue was patched in version 4.10.1, the plugin is still technically vulnerable to Cross-Site Request Forgery since a capability check but no nonce check was added in 4.10.2.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N","score":6.1},"cwes":["CWE-352"],"references":["https://blog.jonh.eu/blog/security-vulnerabilities-in-wordpress-plugins-by-vcita","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/browser/contact-form-with-a-meeting-scheduler-by-vcita/trunk/system/parse_vcita_callback.php#L55","https://plugins.trac.wordpress.org/changeset/3200766/contact-form-with-a-meeting-scheduler-by-vcita/trunk/system/parse_vcita_callback.php","https://www.wordfence.com/threat-intel/vulnerabilities/id/61c39f5f-3b17-4e4d-824e-241159a73400?source=cve","https://blog.jonh.eu/blog/security-vulnerabilities-in-wordpress-plugins-by-vcita"],"products":["vcita:contact_form_builder_by_vcita"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:38:24.161619714+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-2301","score":0.00293,"percentile":0.21933,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
