When processing an IP packet with protocol 0, OVS will install the datapath flow without the action modifying the IP header. This issue results (for both kernel and userspace datapath) in installing a datapath flow matching all IP protocols (nw_proto is wildcarded) for this flow, but with an incorrect action, possibly causing incorrect handling of other IP packets with a != 0 IP protocol that matches this dp flow.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:H","score":8.2},"cwes":["CWE-670"],"references":["https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2137666","https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2023/05/msg00000.html","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/V2GUNS3WSJG4TUDKZ5L7FXGJMVOD6EJZ/","https://security.gentoo.org/glsa/202311-16","https://www.debian.org/security/2023/dsa-5387"],"products":["cloudbase:open_vswitch","debian:debian_linux","redhat:fast_datapath","redhat:openshift_container_platform","redhat:openstack_platform","redhat:virtualization"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:38:05.473481323+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-1668","score":0.01216,"percentile":0.68592,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
