This side-channel can be sufficient to recover the key encrypted in the RSA ciphertext across a network in a Bleichenbacher style attack. To achieve a successful decryption the attacker would need to send a large amount of specially crafted messages to the vulnerable server. By recovering the secret from the ClientKeyExchange message, the attacker would be able to decrypt the application data exchanged over that connection.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:N","score":7.4},"cwes":["CWE-203"],"references":["https://access.redhat.com/security/cve/CVE-2023-0361","https://github.com/tlsfuzzer/tlsfuzzer/pull/679","https://gitlab.com/gnutls/gnutls/-/issues/1050","https://lists.debian.org/debian-lts-announce/2023/02/msg00015.html","https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-announce%40lists.fedoraproject.org/message/UFIA3X4IZ3CW7SRQ2UHNHNPMRIAWF2FI/"],"products":["debian:debian_linux","fedoraproject:fedora","gnu:gnutls","netapp:active_iq_unified_manager","netapp:converged_systems_advisor_agent","netapp:ontap_select_deploy_administration_utility","redhat:enterprise_linux"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:37:38.595364862+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-0361","score":0.01453,"percentile":0.7324,"date":"2026-10-25"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
