So it's unlikely that an admin would deliberately sabotage their \nown server. Still, a situation can happen where an admin not \nknowledgeable about JavaScript could be tricked by an attacker into \nwriting the malicious JavaScript code into some config files.\n\n\n\nThis issue affects Convict: before 6.2.4.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","score":8.4},"cwes":["CWE-1321"],"references":["https://github.com/mozilla/node-convict/issues/410","https://github.com/mozilla/node-convict/security/advisories/GHSA-4jrm-c32x-w4jf"],"products":["mozilla:convict"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T21:57:34.731061660+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2023-0163","score":0.00274,"percentile":0.19777,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[{"id":"GHSA-4jrm-c32x-w4jf","url":"https://osv.dev/vulnerability/GHSA-4jrm-c32x-w4jf","summary":"convict vulnerable to Prototype Pollution","modified":"2024-11-26T18:58:52Z","packages":[{"ecosystem":"npm","name":"convict","purl":"pkg:npm/convict","ranges":["<6.2.4"],"fixed":["6.2.4"]}]}],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
