Attackers can pass id[1] with crafted SQL, such as time-based SLEEP payloads, along with an api_key derived from md5(home_url()), which flows unsanitized into Database::get_where_query to extract database contents. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-18.","cvss_v4":{"vector":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:N/VC:H/VI:L/VA:N/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N","score":8.8},"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N","score":8.2},"cwes":["CWE-89"],"references":["https://github.com/projectdiscovery/nuclei-templates/blob/main/http/vulnerabilities/wordpress/notificationx-sqli.yaml","https://wordpress.org/plugins/notificationx/","https://wpscan.com/vulnerability/d1480717-726d-4be2-95cb-1007a3f010bb","https://www.vulncheck.com/advisories/notificationx-wordpress-plugin-2.3.12-unauthenticated-sql-injection-via-notification-rest-endpoint"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-24T16:53:35.584907681+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-51021","score":0.00461,"percentile":0.39705,"date":"2026-10-26"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
