Its behavior depends on a couple\nof conditions in the /rtas node of the device tree, the traversal of\nwhich entails locking and local IRQ state changes. If the kernel panics\nwhile devtree_lock is held, rtas_os_term() as currently written could\nhang.\n\nInstead of discovering the relevant characteristics at panic time,\ncache them in file-static variables at boot. Note the lookup for\n\"ibm,extended-os-term\" is converted to of_property_read_bool() since it\nis a boolean property, not an RTAS function token.\n\n[mpe: Incorporate suggested change from Nick]","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/06a07fbb32b3a23eec20a42b1e64474da0a3b33e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/464d10e8d797454e16a173ef1292a446b2adf21c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/698e682c849e356fb47a8be47ca8baa817cf31e0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c2fa91abf22a705cf02f886cd99cff41f4ceda60","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/d8939315b7342860df143afe0adda6212cdd3193"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:18:08.089039631+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-50870","score":0.00211,"percentile":0.11303,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
