This function does not have a default stub, so the\nkernel crashes, when trying to set a private key on an akcipher, which\ndoesn't support signature generation.\n\nI've noticed this, when trying to add a KAT vector for ECDSA signature to\nthe testmgr.\n\nWith this patch the testmgr returns an error in dmesg (as it should)\ninstead of crashing the kernel NULL ptr dereference.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/779a9930f3e152c82699feb389a0e6d6644e747e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/85bc736a18b872f54912e8bb70682d11770aece0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/95c4e20adc3ea00d1594a2a05d9b187ed12ffa8e","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/a1354bdd191d533211b7cb723aa76a66f516f197","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/bc155c6c188c2f0c5749993b1405673d25a80389"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:17:07.138532058+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-50731","score":0.00251,"percentile":0.16547,"date":"2026-11-01"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
