These pointers are all freed if failing to obtain\nany of them; therefore, pointers in `port` become stale. The stale\npointers eventually cause use-after-free or double free in later code\npaths. Zeroing out all pointer fields after freeing to eliminate these\nstale pointers.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":null,"cwes":[],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/0ceadb5a3e45f1b81cf54bd496b40a5e50b6bd40","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/6613f36a2fa5c69e528bccba8b3d831f759dad2f","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/9a8aadcf0b459c1257b9477fd6402e1d5952ae07","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/b610758bb3e0674644c1255cdafc2f46b7e05ff9"],"products":[],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:16:40.427100871+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-50642","score":0.00199,"percentile":0.09806,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
