It\nneeds to be freed when of_device_register() fails. Call put_device() to\ngive up the reference that's taken in device_initialize(), so that it\ncan be freed in kobject_cleanup() when the refcount hits 0.\n\nmacio device is freed in macio_release_dev(), so the kfree() can be\nremoved.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/19ded60b40e86b0903c8d5bd0161437ed5107a8b","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/2ac0a7059b7bcbed35bfffa34a82c9a9e99638ef","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/35858b87a943917fa30172aa4bf01ce7adbcb42c","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/3a866ff6fc2232c8e393cdb55ffb8ce947349e03","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/5ca86eae55a2f006e6c1edd2029b2cacb6979515"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:11:26.888974865+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-50474","score":0.00167,"percentile":0.05921,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
