When the function\nfails to grab the object `xprt`, it simply returns 0, forgetting to\ndecrease the reference count of another object `xps`, which is\nincreased by rpc_sysfs_xprt_kobj_get_xprt_switch(), causing refcount\nleaks. Also, the function forgets to check whether `xps` is valid\nbefore using it, which may result in NULL-dereferencing issues.\n\nFix it by adding proper error handling code when either `xprt` or\n`xps` is NULL.","cvss_v4":null,"cvss_v3":{"version":"3.1","vector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H","score":5.5},"cwes":["CWE-401"],"references":["https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/76fbeb1662b1c56514325118a07fba74dc4c79fe","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/bfc48f1b0505ffcb03a6d749139b7577d6b81ae0","https://git.kernel.org/stable/c/c0434f0e058648649250b8ed6078b66d773de723"],"products":["linux:linux_kernel"],"source":"nvd","synced_at":"2026-10-19T22:03:23.287444849+00:00"},"epss":{"cve":"CVE-2022-50046","score":0.00191,"percentile":0.08813,"date":"2026-10-31"},"kev":null,"osv":[],"attribution":["This product uses the NVD API but is not endorsed or certified by the NVD.","EPSS scores: FIRST Exploit Prediction Scoring System, https://www.first.org/epss","Known exploited vulnerabilities: CISA Known Exploited Vulnerabilities Catalog, https://www.cisa.gov/known-exploited-vulnerabilities-catalog","Package advisories: OSV (https://osv.dev), from the GitHub Advisory Database, PyPA, Go, RustSec and other ecosystem databases, under CC-BY 4.0 or CC0","CVE records: the CVE Program's CVE List (https://www.cve.org), under its terms of use (https://www.cve.org/Legal/TermsOfUse).
